4 days Fes Marrakech desert tour

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Monkey Forest – Erfoud – Merzouga

 After breakfast, we will travel to the dunes of Merzouga. We will go towards the Middle Atlas, and we will visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou “the rock”, where we will stop in its forest to see the Monkeys in freedom. Then we will continue the road through Talghomt or Cuello del Camella, at 1,907 meters of altitude. The relief is impressive, the mountains are completely bare, covered in a purple coat. We will arrive at Errachidia and embark on the crossing of the Tafilalet massif to the Erfoud palm grove. We will continue along the track until we reach the famous fine sand dunes of Erg Chebbi next to Merzouga. Upon arrival you will have free time to enjoy the calm of the desert and see how the dunes change color. Courtesy dinner and accommodation at the Hotel.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

 After breakfast, we will visit other of the tracks used in the “Rally Paris – Dakar”, we will visit desert nomads with whom we will have tea and we will see the oasis where some movies were filmed such as “Sahara”, starring Penelope Cruz. We will visit the town of Khamlia named for the slave trade brought from the Sudan. And after eating we will change the traction of the 4 × 4 for that of the animal traction. The dromedaries will take us into the desert of dunes to be able to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. This night will be special, the dromedaries in the dunes in nomadic tents (jaimas), as the Berbers do. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen. Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

 After breakfast, we will leave for Rissani to visit the market and its famous donkey parking lot. It is a unique place where all the tribes and nomads of the desert go to supply themselves. A very curious visit. Then we will move to Erfoud where we will visit the fossil quarries older than 380 million years. We will continue until we reach the famous Todra Gorges, a favorite place for climbers and trekking enthusiasts. We will finish our tour in the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel.

Day 4: Dades Valley – The Valley of Roses – Kasbah De Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

 We will leave for the Dades Valley by “the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” We will pass through the Valley of the Roses where its inhabitants make creams, soaps and rose water and then Ouarzazate we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (Declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, several famous films have been shot, such as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penélope Cruz. At the end we will pass through Ouarzazate and cross through the port of (Tizi Ntichka 2,260msnm) of the High Atlas we will arrive in Marrakech. Accommodation at the Hotel or Riad.
