2 days Marrakech Zagora desert tour

Day 1. Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Departure in the morning from Marrakech, towards Zagora, through a route that follows the course of the Draa Valley. On the way we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the port of Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road point in the country (2260m), making our way through numerous Berber nomadic villages that inhabit the mountains. We continue the road to the south, crossing a part of the Anti Atlas, through the port of Tizi N ‘Tnifift (1710m) and the town of Ait Saoun, the old path of the caravans of merchants that came from the Sahara “Tombouktu” until we reached the first administrative center, the village of Agdz. Through lunar landscapes of the Sahara dam, we will finally arrive at Zagora, a small town in the native region of the Saadienne dynasty (Saadian tombs of Marrakech) that ruled Morocco in the s. XVII. In Zagora we will change the car for the dromedaries that will take us to the jaimas camp where we will see the sunset, have dinner and spend the night under the starry sky.

Day 2. Zagora – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

 We will deviate on the way to visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, famous for being the scene of more than twenty films, such as “Babel”, “Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia” … Free visit of this impressive fortified town, where you can stroll contemplating the many craft shops (paint with spices, jewelry, rugs) until you reach the barn that crowns the kasbah. We will continue to Marrakech, returning to the port of Tizi n’Tichka. Arrival in Marrakech at night. Transfer to your hotel, farewell and end of our services.
